BEAM Services started with just 3 adults with special needs, but now provide a year-long day service to over 75 adults from Bagenalstown, South Carlow, North Kilkenny & Wexford. In BEAM Services we strongly believe that each individual’s needs are totally unique, so the task of providing educational support is highly staff intensive. Community Support-Focused Health Care Assistant
We are recruiting a Community Support Focused Health Care Assistant for our Day Services
The role is 20 hours per week. As it is is a community focused role the hours are evenings, overnights & weekends. Hours may increase over time.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
A FETAC Level 5 qualification in Health Care is required.
Minimum 1 year experience in the care & support of adults with intellectual disabilities & a genuine interest in the area is required.
Experience working with Challenging Behavior is desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Proven ability to develop positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
A Full Clean Irish Driving Licence (manual transmission vehicles).

Salary linked to HSE (2022) salary scales €29,417 - €42,313 per annum pro-rata.

We are recruiting a Programme Facilitator for 30 hours per week for our Day Service.
The Programme Facilitator will be committed to delivering a high standard of service in line with the ethos and vision of Beam Services. They will undertake all daily activities & routines of the programme area they are working in. This includes direct support to service users, delivering programmes and administrative duties.
The Programme Facilitator is expected to have a high standard of social care practice which entails having the following up to date Person Centred Plans, Medication Management, Risk Assessments, and any necessary documentation to support the service users. They will be involved as part of the team to ensure that each service user in Beam Services is supported to achieve their needs and wishes as agreed in their Person-Centred Plan.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
A Level 7 or 8 Qualification in Social Care / Social Studies or equivalent is required.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in the care and support of the adults with intellectual disabilities and a genuine interest in this area is required.
A sound knowledge and proven ability to interpret and apply legislation such as The National Standards for Adults with Disabilities
Applicants must have excellent communication skills & time management skills and be highly motivated.
Excellent record keeping skills are required.
Full Clean Irish Driving Licence
